Comedian Alexander Ponomarenko died at the age of 55. 40 days have passed since his death. Relatives of the artist Crooked Mirror, who died of stomach cancer, visited the Malakhov program on the Russia-1 channel.
Alexander found out about his illness a year and a half ago. The showman immediately started treatment. He underwent several cycles of chemotherapy, constantly taking medication. The actor lost a lot of weight.
His wife Anna was by his side all this time. She married Alexander at a young age. The girl left her career – she devoted herself completely to her husband and children, daughter Lyubova and son Herman. According to the comedian’s friends, if it weren’t for his wife, he would have died much faster.

Anna helped her husband heal, fed him. The artist’s wife was with him in the ward until his last day. “I kissed his hands when they were warm. I heard his last breath,” she said.
According to the comedian’s 53-year-old widow, he never complained. Just a week before his death, he told his son: “I am experiencing inhuman pain.” Alexander also wrote a message to his daughter asking her to call a priest and confess.
The artist’s family took out multimillion-dollar loans for his treatment. Anna admitted that she is now forced to sell the property due to debts.
“We put everything up for sale,” explained the widow. The loans were large. And the loans were big. Our debts were used for great expenses. Now the question is being resolved that not only I have to face them.”

Alexander’s twin brother said that when he was already seriously ill and was asked how he was feeling, he always replied that everything was fine. And when it became difficult for him to speak, he simply nodded or pointed a finger. Valery assured that his brother was a kind person, he always cared about his loved ones.
