The Hollywood star died last August. Anne is survived by a twenty-year-old son, Homer, from her marriage to cameraman Coleman Laffoon, and a fourteen-year-old son, Atlas, from her relationship with actor James Tupper. He broke the silence. The boy admitted that he was going through a loss.
“She was the smartest person I’ve ever met. She always knew how to solve a problem or help a friend. She always knew what to do. I can’t put into words how grateful I am and how much I miss her,” Atlas said in a heartbreaking statement.

Now the teenager lives with his 57-year-old dad, who the “Mad Card” star split from in 2018. James also paid tribute to his former lover, with whom he remained on good terms after the split.
“Ann and I have been together for over ten years, we have a wonderful son together, and during that time she has been the embodiment of light in our lives, always bringing fun, love and energy. She will always be remembered, in our hearts and minds,” Tupper said.

The eldest son of the actress, Homer, issued a statement on his behalf through a representative a few weeks after the tragedy. The young man gained control of his late mother’s estate despite the objections of James, who is trying to defend his minor son’s inheritance rights. Homer is named permanent conservator of Anne Heche’s assets, leading to a bitter feud with Mom’s ex-partner.
Last month, an autopsy report revealed that Ann had drugs in her system at the time of the accident, including cocaine and fentanyl. However, fentanyl was found to have been administered at the hospital where she complained of pain. Heche found an open bottle of alcohol in the car’s interior, but tests found no traces of alcohol in the deceased’s blood, the Mirror reports.

The Underworld Emmy winner caused a series of traffic accidents in Los Angeles last August 5. She crashed into a garage in her Mini Clubman, then crashed into a Jaguar, the driver of which was uninjured, before flying into a private home at high speed. The car and the building caught fire from the impact.
Heche was taken to the hospital in serious condition and fell into a coma. On August 11, the actress was pronounced dead. Her body was cremated and her ashes were interred on August 23 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
