Ekaterina Andreeva did not immediately come to a television career. In high school, the girl became seriously interested in basketball. She was promised Olympic medals, but chose a different path and after graduating from school entered the evening department of the All-Union Correspondence Faculty of Law (now the Moscow State Law Academy) and simultaneously worked at the Prosecutor General’s Office. After receiving a law degree, Andreeva decided to continue her studies – already at the Faculty of History of the Nadezhda Krupskaya Pedagogical Institute.
In 1990, 29-year-old Ekaterina decided to try her work at the All-Union School of Announcers, despite the fact that professionals warned her that she was cold in the shot. However, the girl still got a chance.

The result was not long in coming. Already in 1991, Ekaterina was recorded: an aspiring TV presenter ended up in Ostankino. There she came to the taste of the image of the detached “Snow Queen”. Andreeva was the host of Good Morning for some time, in 1995 – Novosti on ORT.

In 1997, Andreeva took part in the Vremya program for the first time as a presenter, where she replaced Arina Sharapova, who was on vacation, and a year later she became the permanent host of this program, which she continues to this day, and this is already 25 years old.
