“I survived an unusual night”: Kirill Kyaro revealed the secret of the bed scenes in the series “Social Networks” 01/07/2023, 10:00

Many series with the participation of Cyril were successful. After filming the movie “Liquidation” he became known as “Shtechel’s nephew”. The charismatic actor played the main roles in the serial films The Sniffer, Better Than People, Epidemic, Passengers. Today, January 7, online cinema PREMIER will launch the series “Social Networks” with his participation. In this context, he gave an exclusive interview to VOICE journalists.

– Cyril, what was special for you about working in the series “Social Networks”?

– The series originated from the Cast project, which was conceived and organized by the wonderful young guys from Tomsk Yevgeny Zhukov, Artem Sageev and Dmitry Motorin. The project was focused on the development of regional cinematography in Russia – on the opportunity to develop one’s own film studios. The bottom line was that the guys wanted to shoot several short films in Tomsk by themselves, with the help of talented people from different regions of Russia. They agreed on this with well-known people from the film industry who acted as experts, curators and headliners in the project. Together with them, competitions for screenplays, directors and actors were announced. The main actor, who was interested in choosing a more interesting story for himself, participated in the selection of the script. All this took place on the basis of a competition in which there was extraordinary interest. They already sent me five selected scripts, I think I chose the best one. It wasn’t easy because I really liked the three. After talking to the screenwriters, discussing all the pros and cons of each script with the writers themselves, on air, I decided on the story you will see on screen.

What problems did you face while filming?

– After experts and curators found talented directors and actors, the pandemic began. Our filming and the project itself had to be postponed by a year and a half. This is perhaps the most difficult moment. As the story is not commercial, everything was based on enthusiasm. Such a great idea was in danger of dying due to the viral restrictions that occurred. But as soon as the blockade was lifted, the lads took up filmmaking with a vengeance, pulling us out of our heavy schedules, for which they and those who supported them, credit and praise!

– Your partner was a young unknown actress. Did you feel comfortable working with her?

— Toma Morozova is a beautiful, very lively and talented actress. She studied at the German Sidak Drama School. Toma is a great shooting partner, we bonded quickly and worked with her like it wasn’t our first project. We became friends, we’re still in touch and we’re happy to finally have a premiere.

– In this almanac, you have several partners – famous actors with whom you have not crossed paths on the set before: Lyubov Aksenova, Anton Kuznetsov and others. Do you know each other in real life, did you discuss the experience of filming in Tomsk together?

– We know Ljuba Aksenová and Anton Kuznětsov. We didn’t talk about the experiences on the set. Most likely, this is why the superstition of the actor does not discuss his plans, does not talk about his projects until they are released on the screen. The producers themselves contacted everyone without our patronage. Although, when I was invited, I knew that Lyubov Aksenova was also participating in the project, and for me, of course, this was a plus. Lyuba and I sent each other greetings from the site.

– What is your most vivid memory of your filming in Tomsk?

– The bedroom scenes are the most striking. Since the project was full of enthusiasm, we could not afford expensive interiors and locations. And there are a lot of sleeping scenes in my series, so the guys made a deal with a furniture store that sells bedrooms. And we went from one bedroom to another and shot different scenes. In my experience, such a decision was not made when choosing a location. Big plus to the producers for the idea and thanks to the store for hosting us on that unusual night.

– At the center of the plot of the series is the all-absorbing influence of social networks on people. The events in it take place in Tomsk in the years 2021, 2025 and 2030. What is your opinion – will social networks really interfere so much in the real life of many people in the coming years?

“It seems to me that they have been interfering in our lives for a long time. They affect everything we care about. These are news, tastes, views, ethics, cinema, the search for everything. Social networks and various channels replaced television for people a long time ago. And how useful or not they are depends on the person.

How much are you personally addicted to social media? You sometimes post on your blog, write about your roles in movies, wish happy birthday to friends and relatives. Do you often read foreign blogs, news?

– I try not to be too dependent, even though it is my main source of information. And it’s clear why – only there you can find accurate facts, different opinions and create your own. But I don’t want to rely on them, just like on TV, and every year I’m less and less active on social media. And although online life is now more practical, convenient and even useful, I try to live offline.

– What films and series with your participation should be released in 2023?

Everything is so unpredictable and unstable right now. Of the upcoming movies, God Complex is an 8 part series that I’m really looking forward to. Another series by director Fluza Farshkhatová and script by Alena Zvantsová is The Exorcist. A story that really captivated me, so I tried to keep it (the story) as much as possible in my role. I hope it doesn’t break too much. Let’s see what happened, the main thing is that the topic is still relevant in our ever-changing world. I’m afraid that the longer the premiere is delayed, the more the film will need editing. I’m also waiting for the psychological thriller “Detector”, shot in the Gorky film studio by the Yakut director Kostas Marsaan. Another psychological thriller Syndrom was directed by Anton Bormatov. Now I am shooting in the fantastic comedy “Talisman”, the main role of which is played by Aglaya Tarasova.

Kirill Kyaro is happy in a relationship with Yulia Duz. They are raising a daughter, Mira. The actor admitted that the quarantine almost became the reason for his separation from his beloved.
