The Emmy winner admitted that working with Cameron took her back to when they were filming Titanic. Kate was able to really appreciate the director’s work because she was of a conscious age.
“Finally we’re together again! You don’t even know how happy I am. James is a wonderful person. He is extraordinary! The way he creates all these stories is simply fascinating. It creates a unique work environment that is truly fun, collaborative and experimental. It’s amazing to be a part of it. When I left, I thought I could shoot him again and again and again,” Winslet said.
On the Jim Norton show, where Kate talked about working with James, the presenter recalled one of the old interviews, where the actress said that she would never connect her life with the director again. Years later, Winslet is ready to refute her words.
“I really didn’t want to work with him after Titanic. I was so young and he was unbearable. He has a tough nature, he’s a real tough nut to crack. There were times when I was afraid of him. But now everything has changed. It’s almost 27 years since the Titanic,” said Kate.
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of the Water” Winslet played Ronald. Together with her husband, she leads the Metkaina tribe. Ronail is a true leader dedicated to his people. Kate said she learned to hold her breath underwater for more than 7 minutes during filming.
