‘I felt like nothing’: Billie Eilish admits why she cried

The Bad Guy singer has opened up about a time when she felt hopeless. Billy thought a lot about the fact that her gender would not give her the opportunity to achieve the success she needed. The singer believed that she would never perform the way she wanted to because she did not like the representation of women in the music industry.

“I was in a real hole with myself. I had nothing to look up to when it came to girls like me not being taken seriously. I felt worthless and didn’t think I could really prove myself,” Billy admitted.

The singer often dreamed of what kind of show she wanted to put on. She understood that she could not jump over her head and was very upset about it. “I often cried in bed because I thought I would never be able to do the show I wanted again. I was sure I was hopeless because I’m a girl,’ Eilish recalled.

The Grammy Award winner does not deny that she has masculine qualities in addition to feminine ones. “I feel strongest when I feel most masculine. I can also find strength in femininity. It’s a balance of both. And I’m glad to combine it, “said Billy.

Eilish commented that she likes more masculine in public. It makes them feel more comfortable. “I struggled with it for a long time. I nurtured my femininity, I liked it, but nothing worked for me. But it means that if I want to, I can. It’s nice to know,” said the singer.

Billy grew up in the public eye. The singer was just 14 years old when her single Ocean Eyes was first released. Eilish gained popularity overnight. “It’s a very painful experience. Especially when you see yourself and your name everywhere, it’s hard to understand who you really are. I got impostor syndrome and a lot of other problems,” added Billie in an interview with the BBC.
