The MTV Movie Awards have always been known for high-profile events. For example, almost every “Best Kiss” award was accompanied by its repetition on stage. And sometimes kissing on stage just happened – for no reason – because a great example is contagious.

It was at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards. Then 35-year-old Kerry received the award as the best comedian – for the film “The Cable Guy” (Cable Guy).
Alicia Silverstone announced the winner. The 19-year-old actress greeted Jim as he stepped onto the stage with a smile and did not expect that the actor would grab her instead of the award. Kerry cupped Alicia’s face in both hands and kissed her passionately.
