Key roles brought Ledger not only fame and money, but also love. On the set of Brokeback Mountain, the actor met actress Michelle Williams. The novel developed rapidly, and on October 28, 2005, their daughter Matilda Rose Ledger was born.

Despite breaking up with Michelle in 2007, Heath remained a wonderful and caring father – he did not look for a soul in baby Matilda. Unfortunately, fateful circumstances did not allow him to raise the girl – take her to school, lead her to the altar at the wedding, see her grandchildren: in January 2008, Ledger was found dead in his apartment.
