“I played seven times in a wedding dress, so I’m not married yet”: Anastasia Akatova on the new season of “Guests from the Past”

Anastasia, your heroine has a lot of adventures in the second season of “Guests from the Past”. A single meeting with the future emperor costs something. But the most interesting thing for the actress is probably the historical costumes. What do you remember in particular?

Nineteenth century! (Smiling.) We had very beautiful costumes, balls – generally great. But at the same time corsets, which of course I wanted to take off all the time. I remember the scene with Anya Něvská: the two of us are sitting in corsets that were so tight that they squeezed everything in the world. And here it’s mainly about getting used to it, because after an hour we learned to breathe in them. (Laughs.) True, I don’t understand how they walked like that all day.

Were you also confused by the hairstyles of that time?

I had favorite and unloved hairstyles. (Smiling.) For example, the boucles, which looked like three protruding pipes, seemed crazy to me. When I looked in the mirror I was laughing the whole time. But she felt like a queen with her favorite hairstyle – high cut hair with flowers woven into it. (Smiling.)

In one of the scenes, you appear in a wedding dress. Aren’t you superstitious in that sense?

I’ve played in a wedding dress seven times already, which is probably why I’m not married yet. She once joked in an interview that I’m already thirty, but I still can’t. (Laughs.) But seriously, about superstitions, what I definitely couldn’t do is lie in a coffin. Wedding dress – why not? In addition, the artists carefully assembled these dresses, piece by piece: something from the twentieth century, something from the nineteenth, there is also the influence of our nineties.

Imagine yourself in this dress at your own wedding?

I wouldn’t call it my dream dress. (Smiles.) It also turned out to be very uncomfortable because of the long hem I had tied around my legs so I could move around the place without picking up dirt. This dress with a corset is so heavy… Of course everything looks amazingly effective in the frame, but in reality I can’t imagine myself in such a wedding dress.

what do you represent

In trousers, perhaps in a light and modest dress, for example made of linen. (Smiling.)

Probably, in general, you are especially comfortable in comfortable and simple things?

I can say that since I moved from Rybinsk to Moscow, my style has changed. I used to dress more feminine, there were heels and dresses. In Moscow, she began to wear comfortable clothes that are comfortable. It’s about distance and rhythm. If I go to the premiere, I can dress strictly. But what I don’t like is obviously bright things, because I’m so often dressed up on set. For example, I had a lot of roles in pink, so it was enough for films. (Smiling.) I adore black and gray myself. But in the summer I try to wear something light according to my mood. I’m generally a moody person.

What are you definitely not wearing?

Silhouette dress. I love long oversized dresses. In movies, I’m more often dressed as a girl-girl. But in this life I would feel a little frivolous and ridiculous. (Smiling.)

You are barely recognizable in your photos from different years. You are different everywhere, different in every role.

It is probably our main goal as actors – to be different, to reincarnate. I would like to play comedic roles and also exist convincingly in drama. I recently premiered the movie “Decided: Brother” where I played the role of a drug addict. Some admitted that they didn’t recognize me, that I was completely different there. Of course, it is very nice to receive such feedback. (Smiling.)

You were blonde recently, but you’ve gone back to your natural color. Is there a desire for change now?

In fact, for a long time I wanted bangs like Brigitte Bardot: not short, but long. So that you can remove it and vice versa, if you want, pull it out. I call her a bang-station wagon. (Smiles.) I’ve never had bangs, so I’m a little worried. But I decided to go for the role, so it kind of worked out.

Do you find it difficult to make changes in general?

If I burn out with the script, the role, then no problem. I can see why, it will inspire. (Smiling.)
