The fatal collision happened on November 1 on the Expressway in Adelaide’s northwest. A truck crashed into Erica’s car. Carly Eileen Richards, 38, was driving the oversized car. As a result of the accident, Erica died and her friend and sister were seriously injured. They were taken to the hospital.
Richards tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended by law enforcement officers. Carly was charged with three counts of aggravated assault by reckless driving, attempting to leave the scene of an accident and reckless driving. The woman obstructed the police investigation by not answering questions and refusing to give her name and address.
Erica’s father admitted that he was in the deepest shock. “She was a bright, clever, positive girl,” Mr Hoy said.

The twins’ parents moved from the UK to Australia in 2015. The girls studied at Flinders University. Erica holds a BA in Chinese and French. Hoy also tried herself as a model – she went on the podium.
Singer Zlata Bozhen died on October 26. The artist was struggling with a serious illness. Doctors were never able to make a correct diagnosis.
