“If people have stopped loving each other, then it is not worth living in inertia”: Pavel Priluchny on secrets “Lovers”

One of the main film premieres of this season in Russia was Elena Khazan’s comedy The Lovers. It turned out to be a sequel of sorts to the movie “Mistresses” from the same director. The main role in the tape, which was released on November 3, was played by Pavel Priluchny. After the private screening, the 34-year-old actor gave an exclusive interview to VOICE.

– The main idea of ​​this tape, as many viewers will consider, is that the husband’s betrayal will break the family – a “porcelain elephant”, in the words of your screen wife (Natalia Ionova). Is your personal opinion equally categorical or can you try to start from scratch after infidelity if the couple loves each other?

– I think “Lovers” they are not a story of betrayal. It’s about the fact that when people stop loving each other, it’s not worth living in inertia and trying to cement relationships. If there is a crack, sooner or later they will break.

“Women feel cheated,” says the film. Are men less sensitive to it?

– I think both sides are sensitive to betrayal. Both women and men are sensitive to them. And even after the betrayal, even if it was possible to hide it, certain echoes still remain and the relationship begins to deteriorate.

– In most situations of the film, men are inferior to women in various human qualities. In this regard, many men may experience an inferiority complex after watching the movie The Lovers. Why would they watch it then?

– An inferiority complex can only arise if it already exists. Watching The Lovers won’t affect it. But if a person sees something thanks to the film that helps him look at the situation from a different angle and better understand himself, then that’s good.

– The movie starts with the scene of your hero having sex with his lover, their wife finds them. Towards the end of the tape you have the second bed scene. Is your wife Zepyur calm about it or is she jealous?

My wife is also an actress. He perfectly understands how the shooting of such scenes is done. And he knows that I will never allow myself anything extra.

– How much did the wedding at the end of August affect your approach to work? You now avoid such sex scenes as in the movie “Lovers” and the TV series “Life on Call”?

– If such a scene is justified, then it is normal and can be. But if people are just hiding in the frame and it doesn’t make sense, why participate?

– Men in “Lovers” they met for a session with a psychologist. Have you ever had psychological therapy in real life?

– I went to a psychologist several times, but I didn’t feel any effect. This is all science – finding a specialist who will understand you and help you. I haven’t come across one. And in general, it seems to me that first of all it is important to sort out your own problems – what is important and what is not.
