For millions of people, Kate Middleton is a role model. Women all over the world copy her style, walk, manners.

And above all, lucky fans are even luckier – because they look like the Duchess of Cambridge. Some of these similarities can be well monetized.
Gabriela Douglas

10 years ago, Australian Gabriella Douglas suddenly became famous – she was suddenly “recognized” on the streets of London. So the girl, who was then working as a furniture designer, realized that she was very similar to Prince William’s bride.
Gaby’s mother was a big fan of the royal family, so she secretly sent pictures of her daughter to a modeling agency, thus determining her future. Katherine’s double (and in some pictures they are simply impossible to tell) was immediately interested and offered a job.
Douglas was to appear at events where the Duchess was expected. “I was working nine to five in my main job and in the evenings and weekends I was filling Kate parody orders. It wasn’t easy, but I loved it,” admits Gabriella in a recent interview with The Sun. To make the similarity with Catherine even more obvious, Douglas learned to do the same make-up and hairstyle, completely copying the style of the duchess, imitating her mannerisms and facial expressions.

For one day of work as a Middleton double, the girl received from 650 to 1000 pounds (69-106 thousand rubles). For comparison: the average Englishman spends about 500 pounds (about 53 thousand rubles) a month on groceries.
Gabriella herself emphasizes that it was not only money that prompted her to parody Kate Middleton, but also banal interest. Thanks to her new job, Douglas attended events she would never have otherwise attended, met interesting and respected people, and participated in luxurious photo shoots.
Simon Watkinson became her Prince William. For example, they attended the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London together.

In 2014, the husband and wife doubles went on a fake royal tour. There were other trips, participation in TV shows and the most luxurious parties in the UK.
In 2016, Gabrielle left the for-profit business and opened her own business – on a fee for five years of work as a double. The money earned was enough to buy an apartment in London. “I’m grateful to Kate, she changed my life for the better,” concluded Douglas.
After such a story, you involuntarily want to remake the famous saying and say: “Don’t be born beautiful, but be born a star.”
Heidi Aigan

In the same 2011, British Heidi Aigan became Kate Middleton’s number two. Unlike the previous heroine, she still monetizes her resemblance to the duchess. 10 years ago Aigan, a single mother, was working as a waitress in a small restaurant in her home town of Northamptonshire. And then a miracle happened: Prince William announced the engagement, and the guests of the event began to insist that Heidi send her photos to the agency, until she finally obeyed. This step radically changed her life.

Heidi is only a year older than Katherine, and it goes without saying how similar the women are. Eigan literally lives the life of Prince William’s wife: during Middleton’s pregnancy, she wears a fake belly, loses and gains weight, changes her hairstyle, strictly adheres to the style, even such a detail as perfume is missing. Needless to say, he knows the duchess’ biography thoroughly. During the photo shoot, Heidi collaborates with other doppelgangers: for example, babies George, Charlotte and Louis also have their own copies!

Back in 2013, Aigan admitted to journalists that her imitation is a very profitable business. The minimum rate is 650 pounds per day, which is more than 69 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate.
Over the years, thanks to the work of Heidi, not only the financial situation, but also the personal life has changed. So in 2017, she got married again.
Jody Breda

Jodie is 10 years younger than Kate Middleton, but that didn’t stop her from becoming the Duchess of Cambridge’s doppelgänger in 2015. However, if the previous heroines of the article are pleased with their prototype, then Jodie, on the contrary, constantly criticized Katherine.
“Kate dresses and does her makeup so… boring for her age. It would be great if she started wearing something tighter like me. Or she cut her hair, “Bredo shared her opinion in an interview with reporters.

The girl added that she was not pleased not only with Middleton’s style, but also with her chosen one: “I like Prince Harry much more – his image of a “bad boy” suits me one hundred percent!” Maybe that’s why Jodie didn’t last long in her role. The most recent footage of her as the Duchess of Cambridge dates back to 2016. Over the years, she closed Instagram (the social network was recognized as extremist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation), gave birth to a child, and became just Jodie Bredo.
