Three years ago, there was a crisis in the Malafeev family. The couple was still working on their relationship but eventually decided to leave. Now Catherine said that she and Vyacheslav were divorced.

The footballer’s ex-wife assured that their love story is over, but they remained good friends. They plan to continue raising their common son, Alex, and Malafeev’s children from a previous marriage.

“It’s time to be honest with you. Now only the truth and nothing but the truth. Our story is over. Yesterday was an unusual day for our family. Slava and I divorced. Our love turned into friendship,” said Ekaterina.

Malafeeva noted that the divorce was not a tragedy for her. In addition, the former spouses organized a party in honor of the separation, where they invited close friends. They ordered a cake and fun decorations. Ekaterina chose a black short outfit with shiny feathers, knee highs and platform shoes. Vyacheslav put on a light linen shirt and matching trousers. The heroes of the evening together with the guests sang the hits “I’m Free” and “Districts-Blocks”.

During the holiday, Catherine and Vyacheslav said warm words and exchanged kind words for parting. “Thank you for these wonderful years, I am happy to have been with you. Free checkout, come,” said the athlete with humor. For the rest of the evening, Malafeeva walked around with a bunch of black balloons in her hands.

The former goalkeeper of the Zenit football club was in the matrix twice. In 2001, he married Marina Bezborodova, who gave him a daughter, Ksenia, and a son, Maxim. But tragedy struck in 2011 – a woman died in a car accident. For some time, Vyacheslav remained alone, and then he fell in love with Ekaterina Komyakova. The girl warmly accepted his children and in 2013 gave birth to a son, Alex.
