The role of Narcissa Malfoy, the pureblood witch and mother of Draco Malfoy, was famously portrayed by actress Helen McCrory in the Harry Potter films. Although her heroine represented the side of the villains, at some point she actually saved Harry: knowing he was alive, she confirmed his death to Voldemort.

But it turns out that they planned to call a completely different actress for the role of Narcissa. The offer came from Naomi Watts. The only problem is, she didn’t even know about it. The actress did not get the audition because her agency representative rejected the offer on her behalf without informing the actress at all.
