Yesterday we showed you a brand new concept car from BMW: the Z4 Coupé. Although we said at the time that this was a one-off, there is a chance that the model will actually go into production.
Only 1 example of this model was built at the moment. Basically, the car is a Z4 M40i with a 3.0-liter straight-six that produces 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the differential between the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

However, this BMW Z4 Coupe is not about that powertrain. It depends on the body shape. Because the back is not like that of a normal Z4. It’s kind of a shooting brake version.
Still not an isolated case?
The reactions on the internet are mostly positive. Enthusiasts generally like the design. It is therefore a pity that BMW is initially keeping the Z4 Coupé as a one-off.
With the emphasis on “first”. The brand’s head of design, Adrian van Hooydonk, told Automotive News that there was no concrete plan to put the car into production. However, if there is sufficient interest, BMW will examine production options for the Z4 Coupé. According to van Hooydonk, the numbers will be very small, think about 50 copies.

While that sounds nice, the Z4 coupe will be a rare and expensive car reserved for only a few. Keeping it positive; 50 copies are better than 1!
