Automakers usually celebrate victories, but Aston Martin does it a little differently. The British sports car brand celebrates provisional second place in the battle for the Formula 1 championship.
Now let’s not be silly. Aston’s ability to outperform top teams like Mercedes and Ferrari is of course a remarkable achievement. And all thanks to Fernando Alonso. Because Lance Stroll is a bit behind.
Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition
As Aston Martin is so pleased with second place, the brand is releasing this special version of the DBX, the AMR23 Edition. The model is based on the DBX707, with 707 hp and 900 Nm strong twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG.

According to Aston Martin, the DBX707 AMR23 Edition shares its “racing identity” with both Formula 1’s official medical car and the AMR23 race car.
What does that mean in practice? That this DBX is dark green with some yellow accents and green brake calipers. The same colors are reflected in the interior, of course with some AMR23 logos here and there.

DBX707 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds
Nothing changes in the performance of the DBX707. It still accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h. Impressive for a super SUV weighing almost 2300 kilos.

Decent profit for fiscal year 2022
Aston Martin hasn’t had it easy in recent years, but the bottom line at the end of 2022 was a decent profit, thanks to the DBX selling more units than all other Aston models combined.
By the way, it could have been more. At Aston, too, they suffered from a lack of parts (e.g. chips) and production problems.
