The Dutch government is selling an enhanced Hummer… in pink!

The Dutch government is selling an enhanced Hummer… in pink!

Would the government have confiscated this lobster from a drug criminal? Probably not. He’s way too flashy for that with his truck length and flashy Barbie color.

What do we know about this Hummer H2? Few. Only that it has a mileage of 68,124 (converted: 109,000 kilometers) and that there is a 6.0-liter V8 on LPG under the hood.

Hummer with a wheelbase of 7.3 meters

If we dive into the RDW database, we see that this sedan once cost 96,350 euros. It has nine seats – in a rather tacky interior – and a wheelbase of 7.3 meters.

And then we come straight to the biggest problem. If you only have a car driver’s license, you can’t drive this Hummer. Its license plate shows an empty weight of 4510 kilos.

Now Barbie Pink, formerly Hummer Yellow

Also nice to see, originally the car was yellow. That’s probably before it was converted into a stretch limousine, because we know exactly what color it is, yellow: the H2’s introductory color in 2002.

By the way good to know. If you decide to buy this colossus of domains, you don’t have to worry about the compact, American number plate on the rear. The lobster has an exception to this.

Huge 6.0-liter V8 with only 320 hp

That the H2 has a 6.0-liter V8 sounds more impressive than it is. The power of the Vortec engine is only 320 hp, which means that the original Hummer – without seven-league boots – went to 100 km/h in just under 11 seconds.

Now an electric sub-brand of GMC

The American Hummer brand has existed for about ten years, from the late 1990s – when General Motors bought it from AM General – until 2010. Since 2020, Hummer has been an electric sub-brand of GMC.

This is slightly ironic, because in the early 2000s the manufacturer was synonymous with SUVs that were far too large and far too polluting. Not a company the environmental movement was crazy about.
