Study: “Drivers of green or silver cars are the dumbest”

We recently wrote about a study looking for a correlation between car brands and intelligence. The same researcher We also checked whether the color of your car says anything about your IQ.

Drivers of BMW, Fiat and Land Rover – especially electric cars – did not fare well in this survey. There are other research results that do not speak for BMW drivers. For example, drivers of the German brand turn out to be the biggest psychopaths.

Stupid psychopaths drive a green electric BMW

Is your BMW still green? Then you hit the jackpot. The somewhat funny poll this UK site conducted of around 2,000 car owners shows that green car drivers have the lowest average IQ score.

All respondents indicated what make of car they drive, as well as the color and powertrain. They were then asked to take an IQ test. These results show that people with an average IQ of 88.43 perform worst with a green car in the driveway.

What color car do the smartest people drive?

On the penultimate place are drivers of silver cars. However, the average IQ score of this group immediately jumps to 92.67. This puts this group directly behind the people with a black car. They score an average of 92.83. Above that are drivers with a blue car (93.60).

That puts us in the top 3. Bronze goes to drivers with a red car. They achieved an average IQ score of 94.88. With a score of 94.97, people with a gray car are in second place. However, the smartest people seem to drive a white car. They manage to achieve an average IQ score of 95.71.

This information provides material for cozy pub talks, but does not attach too much importance to them. It’s not a Harvard study, and the results aren’t extremely shocking. The vast majority of the population has an IQ between 85 and 115. Only 2.5 percent of people score more than 130 or less than 70 on an IQ test.
