Special occasion: Renault Clio V6 with sky-high mileage

Autovisie is always looking for used cars for enthusiasts and therefore searches the listings on the sales site Gaspedal.nl. This time we found a very special daily driver with high mileage: the Renault Clio V6.

With the heavily modified V6, Renault showed that a Renault Clio is more than a good shopping car or everyday family car. Launched in 2001, the car is the wildest Renault ever built.

It is therefore something special that someone drove this Renault Clio V6 on a daily basis. According to the ad, the first owner of the used car originally delivered in the Netherlands drove a number of kilometers with the Frenchman until 2019. The result is a mileage of 330,000 kilometers.

The car is from 2003 and was completely overhauled by the seller in 2020. The event would be in top condition, both technically and visually.

A wonderful powertrain

Good maintenance is therefore important on this Renault. After all, it is an exotic version. It’s a copy of the first generation with a 3.0-liter V6 good for 230 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The zero-to-100 sprint is gobbled up in 6.4 seconds. The acceleration only stops at 235 kilometers per hour.

Only 1,634 examples of this first generation Renault Clio V6 were built in Uddevalla, Sweden. Due to its rarity and special driving characteristics, “The French Devil” is very expensive. Autovisie editor Peter Hilhorst shows in the video below why it is still worth the money.

The seller demands almost 49 grand for this occasion. You can also buy a Dutch car with less mileage for about the same amount of money. In fact, there are significantly cheaper examples with lower mileage. It’s all about the (technical) condition of the car.
