Gasoline significantly more expensive from next summer

Gasoline isn’t cheap, but it’s getting more and more expensive. This summer, from July 1st, according to sources in The Hague, you will pay more at the pump.

March 2022 fuel became slightly cheaper (less expensive). Because energy prices have risen sharply. The excise duty on fuel for cars, motorcycles and trucks has been reduced. Taxes are slowly being brought back to the old level.

Gasoline is getting more and more expensive

This means that a liter of petrol will be 13.8 cents more expensive from July 1st. You then have to spend 6.90 euros more per 50-liter tank. At current petrol prices plus excise tax, you pay about 2.10 euros per liter.

Not only petrol is becoming more expensive, diesel is also increasing significantly. From next summer you will pay 9.9 cents per liter more for fuel. LPG increases by 3.2 cents.

Consumption tax not yet at the old level

The cabinet has decided not to lower the consumption tax to the old level yet. This would increase the liter price for petrol by 22.5 cents. Diesel and LPG would then be 15.5 cents and 5.3 cents more expensive.

The consumption tax will eventually return to its old level. From January 1, 2024, petrol will really be 22.5 cents a liter more expensive than it is now.
