Research: “BMW drivers are psychopaths”

Grab some large grains of salt. “Research” has shown that drivers with the most psychopathic traits drive a BMW.

Okay, so a grain of salt. As a BMW driver, do not feel directly attacked, because this research is not based on hard facts. Not even remotely. This is the result of a simple questionnaire Junk car comparison sent to around 2,000 Britons. They first had to indicate which car they drive and then take what is called a 12-question psychopathy test. On this basis, they calculated an average score for different driver groups.

The test’s scoreboard ran from 0 to 36. The average was 6.6 points out of 36, but the BMW driver was well above it. The owners of the southern German models scored an average of 12.1 out of 36 points. Audi drivers are in second place with 11.7 out of 36 points. Completing the top 5 are Fiat (7.0), Mazda (6.4) and Honda (6.3). At the bottom of the list are Seat (4.3), Kia (4.2) and Skoda (3.2). Mercedes-Benz is in seventh place with 5.9 points.

If you look at the type of powertrain, the values ​​are even more remarkable. Electric car owners collectively scored 16 out of 36 points. Apparently some kind of electrification influences the psychopathic characteristics, because the hybrid also performs relatively well with 9.8 points. Diesel and petrol drivers score 7.0 and 5.2 points respectively.

The worst colors are silver (5.5) and red (4.9). The questionnaire also found that people with a personalized number plate score better than those with a normal number plate: 13.8 versus 5.3 points.
