This MG Cyberster has a chance to become the best electric car

The fact that electric cars are always boring and not fun to drive is long gone. Take the Kia EV6 GT or the Tesla Model 3 Performance, for example. For convertible enthusiasts, however, there isn’t much choice. At least not yet, because this MG Cyberster can become the best electric car for open enthusiast.

You can now turn to Mini for an electric convertible, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for the real roadster feeling. Not only on the MG, but also on the Polestar 06.

Will this be the most beautiful electric car?

Enough about other upcoming electric roadsters, now it’s about the MG Cyberster. We have already seen an impressive concept car of this model. However, the images now leaked through the database of the Chinese Ministry of Transport and Information Technology look different.

The MG Cyberster looks more like a real roadster than we could have ever imagined. The electric car is 4.5 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and 1.3 meters high. The wheelbase is 2.7 meters. Although the design resembles a cross between a Jaguar F-Type and a Mazda MX-5 – and no offense – the car is slightly larger than the Japanese roadster.

The MG Cyberster as an all-wheel drive vehicle

In addition, this electric car has no manual transmission and a shrill four-cylinder engine. In fact, as far as we can now read in the Chinese documents, the EV won’t even be just rear-wheel drive. On the front axle sits an electric motor that delivers 101 hp and 201 hp peak power. The rear wheels are powered by an engine that produces 215 hp and is good for 335 hp peak power.

The top speed of the MG Cyberster is 200 kilometers per hour. It is unclear whether these numbers are ultimately correct and how many performances there will be. MG has not yet confirmed anything about the electric car.
