More affordable car news today! Audi is also coming soon with an electric entry-level model that will be located under the Q4 e-tron. Anyway, since this electric car costs at least 50 grand, we don’t think Audi will really launch an affordable model.
And of course that’s not surprising at all. After all, Audi is a premium brand and, in this respect, ranks higher than Volkswagen, for example. Nevertheless, Audi will soon expand its electric range downwards. After the Q4, Q8 and the upcoming Q6 e-tron, the Germans are therefore starting with a lower-numbered model.
SUV or hatchback?
It is not clear which model it is exactly. We only know it’s coming because CEO Markus Deusmann announced it when presenting the company’s results. It is not known whether it will be an SUV, crossover or hatchback.
In any case, it seems unlikely that he will show his version of the Volkswagen ID.2 in the near future. This car will receive several derivatives from the corner of Cupra and Skoda, but an Audi variant has not yet been discussed. Incidentally, it cannot yet be ruled out that Audi will come up with such a model in due course: the brand simply has not decided yet.
Electric Audi A3
It is therefore obvious that the new entry-level electric model is an A3-Like. After all, Audi has already indicated that by 2027 it wants to have an electric alternative in every segment in which it is now active. The A1 and Q2 are also being pushed out, so that the A3 will soon be the entry-level model in the Audi family. Oliver Hoffmann, head of technology at Audi, confirms to Autocar that it is indeed an A3-like car. He did not say whether the model would then also be called the A3 e-tron.

In any case, we will see more of Audi’s plans in the near future. The brand intends to introduce ten new electric cars within two years. We already know a few models, think of the Macan brother Q6, of which a Sportback version will also be released. The A6 e-tron is already in the starting blocks and work is in progress on an electric A4.
