The new Lancia is taking shape. After seeing a strange “UFO-like” object late last year, we’re now seeing something modeled after a stunning Italian model. We can’t wait!
As you probably know, Lancia is about to make a full comeback. Stellantis has breathed new life into the brand that seemed all but extinct until recently. Lancia will continue to be the brand that puts design and experience first. Under the skin, the cars will largely correspond to models from sister brands such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot and Opel.
The design of the future
On April 15th we will see exactly what Lancia has in store for us. During the Emozione Pu+Ra event, the Italian automaker unveiled a concept model that showcases its design language for the next 10 years.

This is done with a further developed variant of the Pu+Ra Zero. We saw this ‘car’ or flying saucer late last year and while it took a lot of imagination to see it as a production model, it was clear that Lancia took inspiration from its own history books.
Stratos zero
We’ve already seen round taillights reminiscent of famous rally heroes like Stratos and 037. The minimalist lines and incredibly flat design reflected the amazing Stratos Zero.
Now Lancia is sending another picture of this Pu+Ra into the world. Now the model looks more like a full-fledged car. The round taillights are still there, but are now supported by what appears to be a spoiler, a window and what appears to be a bumper. The model also already bears the Lancia lettering on the rear. In short: Lancia appears on April 15th with a real car.

New Lancia Ypsilon
The chance that we will see this model in series in the foreseeable future is slim. The first new production model will appear in 2024. It’s the Ypsilon, which will appear with both internal combustion engines and an all-electric powertrain. Technically, this car probably leans on Stellantis’ other little ones, like the Peugeot 208 and the Opel Corsa. Lancia then presented a crossover (Aurelia) in 2026, and the new Delta appeared two years later. Both models are purely electric. An extreme HF integral version is also planned for the Delta.
