Dive into the price list: the renewed facelift of the Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Alfa Romeo Giulia has been given a subtle facelift. The news is not very big, but reason enough for us to put together one of the most beautiful limousines according to our own taste.

Alfa Romeo is working on expanding the model range, but in the brand’s tradition these new models will have to wait a while. The Tonale was recently introduced – and is successfully taking off. Meanwhile, the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio are being kept warm with a subtle facelift. A good excuse to take a closer look at one of our favorite limousines. We dive into the price list and compile it according to your wishes.

Alfa Romeo Giulia facelift

As mentioned, the facelift is not very drastic. For the exterior, we mainly see new light units, with new LED daytime running lights at the front and smoked glass at the rear. Dynamic indicators are also new. The main interior changes are the introduction of a digital instrument panel and improved infotainment with a larger touchscreen. Incidentally, the facelift has not (yet) been implemented in the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which positions Alfa Romeo to some extent as an independent model. We will therefore not consider the ‘Q’ any further.

Engines Alfa Romeo Giulia Facelift

With the facelift, the range of engines was significantly reduced. There is only a choice of two or even one. Remarkably, the price list includes a diesel and a petrol engine, while in the configurator you can only choose the latter. The diesel is a 2.2-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder with 154 kW (210 hp) and 470 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with turbo and 206 kW (280 hp) and 400 Nm. It’s also the fastest variant, with a 0-100 time of just 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. An eight-speed automatic comes as standard, with no manual shifting required.

Prices and versions Alfa Romeo Giulia Facelift

The retreaded Alfa Romeo Giulia is available from 65,000 euros for the petrol version. The diesel is 1,500 euros more in the price list. The diesel is only available as a Ti and Veloce, with the petrol engines there are also Sprint and Competizione to choose from, which complement the range at the bottom or top.

A selection of standard equipment: 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED matrix headlights, aluminum sports pedals, leather steering wheel and gear lever, ten-way adjustable front seats, full infotainment and the assistance systems you expect from a modern car.

Which Giulia will it be?

As mentioned, the configurator only lets us select the petrol engine. Well, we had plans anyway. The further choice of model no longer makes any difference in terms of performance, but we still use the Veloce. It rather appeals to us with its sportier decoration, without losing the main prize for the equally fast Competizione. The Veloce is available from 72,000 euros, the Competizione from 76,000 euros. We prefer to spend this price difference on some options.

exterior decoration

Whichever version you choose, the standard color is Alfa Romeo Red. See how Alfa Romeo counters the gray fleet on the road. Another color costs at least 495 euros extra and you get your Giulia in white. Luminous blue, dark gray and black are available for 1,195 euros. For a whopping 2,995 euros extra, the Alfa Romeo Giulia is painted in an even more intense red. We fall for it. The Veloce does not offer a choice of wheels, but we will have the brake calipers in red for 395 euros.

interior design

Continue to the interior. As a free option, the black leather interior can be swapped out for a red one. That makes us all red, we stick to black.

Package and individual options

In addition to the high-quality audio system, the Harman Kardon Beautiful Sound Pack for 2,200 euros also includes some additional leather appointments. We tick. We do not have the package with additional driving assistants for 1,495 euros. For separate options, almost everything is ticked on the Veloca. This time we leave the panoramic roof for 1,695 euros, but we tick the alarm system for 500 euros.

When it comes to decoration, we cross carbon bumper grilles (552 euros), aluminum tank cap (110 euros), sports pedals (170 euros), illuminated door sills (663 euros) and LED door lights (brand image projected onto the floor, 150 euros), carbon Mirror covers (864 euros) or rear spoiler (abs for 326 euros or carbon for 1,146 euros) are not.

Assemble the Alfa Romeo Giulia yourself

At the end of the configuration we have an Alfa Romeo Giulia that costs 79,673 euros. How would you put the Giulia together? Visit www.alfaromeo.nl for the configurator and a full overview of prices and features.
