Porsche competes with the Aston Martin DBX, Ferrari Purosangue and Lamborghini Urus. We just have to wait for the German super SUV. The K1 – the model’s code name – will not be launched until 2027.
When presenting the dates, Porsche also revealed a few things about upcoming models. The brand wants to focus even more on luxury and exclusivity, with a lot of attention to limited editions and the special request program.
Electric Macan finally on the market
Of course, electrification will play a major role in this. The belated electric Macan will finally come onto the market next year, followed in 2025 by the likewise electric 718.
Even bigger SUV for China and the US
Then it is the turn of the Cayenne successor, which will be followed by a model above it in 2027. Why will there be an even bigger SUV? Because there is a demand from China and the United States.
The top electric SUV is tentatively referred to as the K1. With Taycan-style headlight units and the Panamera’s roofline, it gets an even more distinct coupé look than the Ferrari Purosangue.

According to Porsche, the K1 will be based on the SSP platform of the next Taycan generation, the interior will be revolutionary and the model will have extensive autonomous functions.
Porsche achieved a record profit in 2022
The K1 should provide even more profit and Porsche has nothing to complain about. With sales of 37.6 billion cars (up 13.6 percent), the manufacturer made a profit of 6.8 billion euros (up 27.4 percent compared to 2021). An absolute record.
Porsche delivered exactly 309,884 cars last year, an increase of 2.6 percent compared to 2021. The brand has two important anniversaries to celebrate this year: 60 years of the 911 and 75 years of sports cars.
