Why the limited Donkervoort F22 will be a little less limited

Donkervoort has a luxury problem; The demand for the new Donkervoort F22 is much greater than the supply. So the Lelystad-based manufacturer gave up its heart and decided to build more F22s.
Well, that doesn’t mean that the lightweight sports car will suddenly roll off the assembly line in large numbers. Originally, only seventy-five pieces were to be made. Now it’s exactly a hundred.
Donkervoort F22 sold out quickly
The Donkervoort F22 was launched in mid-December and the entire run sold out soon after. The first F22s have now been delivered to customers.

According to Donkervoort, the greatest demand traditionally comes from Europe, but orders have also been received from the United States (a new market for Donkervoort), the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
Fastest Dutch car ever with 500 hp
The Donkervoort F22 is the fastest Dutch car ever. It has an Audi five-cylinder engine with 500 hp and 640 Nm and weighs just 750 kilos. Its top speed is 290 km/h and the sprint to 100 km/h takes 2.5 seconds.
Donkervoort equips the F22 with a manual five-speed gearbox. Why not a six or seven speed gearbox? That would make the gearbox 12 kilos heavier.
Above all, more space on customer request
At the customer’s request, Donkervoort has done everything to increase the interior space of the F22. Compared to the D8 GTO, the car has become larger and more practical, with a luggage compartment of almost 300 liters.

The F22 is 4 meters long, almost 2 meters wide and only 1.1 meters high. According to Donkervoort, its aluminum and carbon fiber body is twice as stiff as that of the D8 GTO.
Starting price of 245,000 euros excluding taxes
By the way, originally Donkervoort planned to produce only fifty F22s, but this number was increased to seventy-five even before the model was presented. The starting price of the lightning-fast lightweight is 245,000 euros. Without tax!
