Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has many pros and cons. Logical, because he is one of the richest and most famous people in the world. Whatever you think of him, at least he donates heavily to charity.

So Elon Musk can miss something. Earlier we looked at the hourly wages of Tesla’s CEO. That was more than $50 million an hour. Elon Musk’s net worth is now said to be around $179 billion.

So Elon Musk donates part of it to charities. Last year, he donated $1.95 billion worth of Tesla stock to various charities. This is reported by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. They state that between August and December 2022, Musk donated approximately 11.6 million shares. The SEC doesn’t say which charities this goes to.

It’s not the first time the CEO has given away much of his fortune. Musk donated around $5.7 billion in 2021, which was more than €5 billion at the time. Even then, the authorities were unknown.

Elon Musk isn’t the only billionaire giving away so much. A large proportion of the richest people on earth donate to charities. After all, they can also miss something!
