You’ll never guess which brand has the most recalls

Recall campaigns, actually every car brand has one. After all, cars are complex products and even the smallest mistake can affect safety. The brand with the most recalls in 2022 is striking.

Overall, there were fewer recalls in 2022 than in 2021. There were 323 recalls in 2021. In 2022 there were 296, 8.3 percent less.

Mercedes-Benz has recalled most cars

Even more cars have been recalled in the past year. A total of almost 317,500 vehicles were recalled last year. The front runner is Mercedes-Benz. Not the car division of the group, but Mercedes-Benz Nederland BV (Vans) is at the top of the list of RDW data analyzed by Kenteken.tv.

In total, the car brand’s commercial vehicle department recalled 77,538 cars. Last year there were just over 31,000 cars. Mercedes-Benz Nederland BV (Cars) is in fifth place. They recalled just over 35,500 cars this year.

Stellantis had the most recalls

Mercedes-Benz has therefore recalled most cars in 2021. Most recalls were initiated by Stellantis brands. The distributor faced 64 recalls in 2022.
