Rally legend Ken Block dies after snowmobile accident

A tragic event in the US state of Utah. Rally hero Ken Block has died in a snowmobile accident. This is confirmed by his team Hoonigan Racing Division.
Car enthusiasts know Ken Block from his Gymkhana drift videos viewed by millions of people. He started rallying in his native America in 2005. Even before his rally career, he founded his own brand DC Shoes.

“It is with our deepest regret that we can confirm that Block died in a snowmobile accident today,” he said in a statement on his rally team’s Instagram account.

The Wasatch County Sheriff released a statement after the accident clarifying how the accident happened. “Around 2 p.m. on Jan. 2, the Wasatch County 911 emergency number received a call reporting a snowmobile accident,” the statement said. All sorts of emergency services came, but unfortunately without success.
The snowmobile landed on a steep slope at the top of Ken Block. The 55-year-old legend succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
