Legendary Volkswagen grandmother back in new commercial

But now the Volkswagen grandma is back. The German is selling her old trusty Polo and deeply regrets the sale. She even removes her tattoo. Because the Volkswagen grandma also has to go green, she climbs into an ID.5 GTX, the sporty, coupé-like brother of the ID.5.

The fastest VW ID.5

The Volkswagen grandma shows what she’s got in the 299 hp and 460 Nm strong GTX. Compared to her Polo, the model is a lot faster. Other ID.5s with 204 or 170 are no competition at traffic lights either. The ID.5 GTX sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.

All versions of the ID.5 GTX have a 77 kWh battery pack. Due to the improved streamline shape of the GTX, this version does not go much less far than the normal variants. Volkswagen specifies a range of 491 kilometers for the GTX and 516 kilometers for the normal versions.
