The Tesla Semi finally arrived two weeks ago after five years of waiting. The first copies have been delivered. The electric truck was extensively tested before delivery.
With one of these test videos, the brand shows that the electric truck can drive more than 800 kilometers on one battery charge. The truck is fully loaded and the total weight is 36,741 kilograms.

To cover such a long distance with that much weight, the Tesla Semi has a 1000 kWh battery pack on board. Charging technology that can handle up to 1 megawatt is used to charge this large battery. Elon Musk’s company calls the chargers: “Tesla Megachargers”. With this charger, the e-truck can be charged to 70 percent in 30 minutes.
Like the Tesla Model S and X Plaid, the battery of the Semi is coupled to three electric motors. These deliver an output of 1000 hp. All three motors of the electric truck are not always used. Two power sources have the task of providing as much torque as possible when the truck needs it, for example when accelerating at traffic lights. Later on the motorway, these two engines are switched off in order to drive as efficiently as possible with the other electric motor.

A large battery pack, three electric motors and a large cabin. In any case, the Tesla Semi will not be easy. Tesla does not yet know exactly how heavy the electric truck is. When fully loaded, the truck weighs 36,741 kilograms. It is estimated that the truck weighs around 12,000 kilograms without a load. The price of the vehicle is also unknown. A price of 200,000 US dollars was previously mentioned.
