We have to wait another two years for this new Toyota C-HR

When it comes to design, Toyota has been busy lately. The fifth-gen Prius is actually making us greedy, and this C-HR Prologue looks great on its wheels, too. By the way, we still have to wait for the production version. We won’t see the new Toyota C-HR on public roads for another two years.

The current C-HR dates from 2016 and is a crossover modeled on the Nissan Juke. In the Toyota price list, it ranks between the Yaris Cross and the Corolla Cross. The C-HR is available in two versions on the Dutch market: a 1.8 hybrid with 122 hp and a 2.0 hybrid with 184 hp.

The upcoming Toyota C-HR will be launched in 2024

This Toyota C-HR prologue is already a preview of the second generation of the C-HR, which is expected to be launched in 2024. He wears Toyota’s new front with a sharply cut nose and hook-shaped headlights.

The connection to the Yaris X, which can optionally be ordered with a black rear, is striking.

Wheels on the corners for more interior space

According to Toyota, the wheels of the all-new C-HR are further into the curves than before, which should benefit the interior space.

The C-HR Prologue has a more defined coupé shape than the current one, although viewed from the side you can see that the roofline only slopes down behind the passenger compartment.

In addition to hybrid variants, there is also a plug-in hybrid version

Toyota is clearly not talking about an all-electric C-HR. The Japanese manufacturer is also launching some hybrid variants of the new generation. The plug-in hybrid version is new.

Optionally, the forthcoming C-HR can be ordered in a three-tone color scheme, like the concept car in these photos, silver grey, black and gold.
