Every year the government confiscates cars for many reasons. These used and old service vehicles are then sold by the Ministry of Finance. Autovisie shows exactly how this works in this report.
This time a BMW 340i is for sale. You can bid on the car on the government website. If you bid the highest amount, you can pick up the car. This amount is not what you will ultimately have to pay for your brand new car. In addition to your bid, there is an additional 15 percent buy-up.
BMW 340i is a wonderful sleeper
The BMW 340i of the F30 generation came out in 2015 and is the fastest 3 Series without an M badge, so it is the ultimate sleeper. At least until 2019. Then the Bavarian car brand stuck an M label on the mid-range car and the model became the M340i (Generation G20).
Restrained and yet fast
The government sleeper is still a BMW 340i, powering a 3.0-liter straight-six under the hood. The power source is good for 326 hp and 450 Nm of torque. That sprints the Bimmer from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.1 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour.

The BMW 340i in the government has accumulated 71,725 kilometers of experience in 5 years – according to the odometer. It’s unclear if that mileage is spot on. Finally the car is imported.
With a gray color, no M badges and decent rims, the car is the ideal sleeper. The car is no longer in good standing with the government. There is a large scratch on the wheel arch, a handle is badly damaged and an interior cover is loose. Otherwise, the interior of the BMW still looks neat. Whether the car is also technically well maintained is unclear.
