This is how you make your Fiat 500 more robust than any Abarth

Basically, the Fiat 500 is not a super cool car. While the retro design appeals to many people, it’s anything but a testosterone-boosting design.

Whether and for an Abarth 500, 595, 695 or even the electric 500e will change that bombs look sportier and tougher and deliver a lot more power. However, they never look as tough as this Fiat 500E C Designio.

The toughest Fiat 500

When the invitation came from Abarth to go to the launch of the 500e, the sporty model of the Fiat of the same name, we secretly hoped that the upper part of the headlight – in the bonnet – would be closed. However, Abarth sets a kind of eyebrow at the top.

British designer Afzal Kahn does exactly what we hoped the Abarth would do by making the bonnet a flat panel. This makes the nose much harder. The revised bumper with a large two-part radiator grille also contributes to this.

At the rear of the Fiat 500 you will find a large diffuser. It won’t really work in the 95hp Fiat 500e, but it looks tough. Also not functional – but robust – are the 18-inch wheels and the tinted headlights and taillights. For a better look, the whole thing was lowered by 25 millimeters.

The interior is very green

Opening the door of the rugged Fiat 500 might come as a bit of a shock. The upholstery of the seats and parts of the door panels are as green as it suggests. It is not real leather but is made of a vegan material. To give the driver a slightly sportier feel, the steering wheel features carbon fiber and a center stripe.

Kahn’s body kit reportedly costs £10,000 if you go all options. Our tip: start with the bonnet, which makes your Fiat so much more robust than the Abarth.

Mottled Fiat 500

Although the punt naturally looks sporty, it is not. Unless you don’t take the Fiat 500e but the Abarth 500e as a basis. See why you, as a fan of sporty driving, would rather have this Abarth in the video below.
