This is the coolest used Peugeot you can buy

But that’s a Mercedes G-Class, isn’t it? No! This is a Peugeot P4, a Mercedes G Class built under license for the French Army. And it can be yours.

The G-Class is a development of Mercedes-Benz and the Austrian manufacturer Steyr-Daimler-Puch. If the SUV Launched in 1979, it was available as both a passenger car and a military vehicle. The Netherlands have been using the Wolf, as the army variant of the G-Class is called, since 1992.

Peugeot P4 with 504 and 505 engines

The French version, the P4, was formerly built by Peugeot but is now made by Panhard. This manufacturer still exists, but no longer produces passenger cars, only military vehicles. The big difference between the Peugeot P4 and the Mercedes G is the technology under the skin. The P4 uses PSA engines from the Peugeot 504 and 505.

Offered by BVA Auctions, this car has over 150,000 km on the clock and was in service with the French Army. It is equipped with a 2.5 liter naturally aspirated PSA diesel engine that produces 72 hp. Six days before the end, the highest bid is 3100 euros.

The Peugeot P4 is still used by the French Army but has since been partly replaced by the Masstech T4, a converted Toyota Land Cruiser with a 4.2-litre six-cylinder diesel, and the armored Panhard PVP.
