This is what the future Lancia models will look like

Well, not literally of course. This collection of beautiful classics is the inspiration behind the revival of the ailing Italian brand. We will see how this translates into the future on November 28th at the Lancia Design Day.

In its own words, Lancia is developing into a “progressive classic”. This design language will be reflected in three upcoming models, including the new Ypsilon, which will be launched in 2024, and a car tentatively dubbed the Delta. Lancia also speaks of a flagship that should score in Europe’s largest car segment. That almost has to be an SUV.

Lancia gets ten years

Lancia has been given ten years by parent company Stellantis to get things back on track. The brand only sells cars in Italy, where the old Ypsilon outsells wonderfully all Alfa Romeos combined. We should forget the days when Chrysler sold it with a Lancia logo as soon as possible.

inspiration from the past

The designers have therefore looked to the past for the upcoming new models. The models for the sporty elements are the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Stratos and 037.

The Beta HPE and the Gamma Coupé serve as examples of the practicality and comfort of the new Lancia.

A model with round rear lights

The manufacturer already reveals concrete design elements. No not true. There is only vague mention of “primitive geometric shapes” and “curved lines”. There will be at least one model with round taillights, Lancia reports. It goes back to the rally winners Stratos and 037.
