Dive into the price list: the Polestar 3

The Polestar 3 is available to order now. We dive into the price list and configurator and put one together. What does he have to offer?

Gradually, Polestar’s latest model became more and more popular: the Polestar 3. In short, as the name suggests, this is the third new model since Polestar became a car brand in its own right. Although the design still has some Volvo features, Polestar is taking a little more distance from the parent company with the 3 Series. In addition, the Polestar 3 is a coupe SUV model that boasts not only high horsepower and related performance, but also connectivity and autonomous driving technologies.

Prices Polestar 3

The first Polestar 3 will not be delivered until the fourth quarter of 2023, but you can already order it. We dive into the price list (or the configurator) and put one together. In terms of price, the Polestar 3 is clearly the brand’s new top model. Where you “already” have the 2 Series from 46,900 euros, you have to save at least 89,900 euros with the Polestar 3. Then you get the Long Range Dual Motor. Do you want the performance package? Then the starting price is 96,500 euros. Fortunately, there will be cheaper versions in the long run.

Performance Polestar 3

The numbers in a row again. 360 kW (489 hp) and no less than 840 Nm are available as standard. The performance package goes even further with a system output of 380 kW (517 hp) and 910 Nm. They have all-wheel drive anyway. The 100 km/h is reached in 5.0 and 4.7 seconds respectively and regardless of the version, the top speed is limited to 210 km/h. More important for everyday life: Depending on the version, the range is 560 to 610 km.

Standard equipment Polestar 3

The Polestar 3 comes standard with Brembo brakes with gold-colored calipers, active air suspension (ride height dependent on speed), sports seats, extensive Android infotainment with over-the-air updates, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, u panoramic glass roof, Interior air purification and a whole mountain of safety and assistance systems. Above all, the performance package adds a larger wheel size: 22-inch instead of 21-inch rims. For our configuration we choose the ‘Standard Version’.

The Polestar 3 is available in Magnesium or “Grey” as standard. Another color costs 1,300 euros extra and you can choose from white, very dark grey, a shade of gray with a luxurious shine in it, very dark blue and black. Usually we’re into tans, but now we find that the luxe shade of gray looks the best. The color is in the price list as Jupiter.

We can exchange the standard 21-inch rims for 22-inch rims for 2,500 euros. We are not. We think the standard rims are a lot nicer and they’re probably just a little more comfortable because they have extra rubber all around.

interior design

The interior of the Polestar 3 comes standard with durable black MicroTech upholstery paired with aluminum accents. This can be exchanged for black upholstery made of animal-friendly wool at no extra charge. Light Nappa leather upholstery for the seats is available as an option, in combination with white or black upholstery and black wood accents for the rest of the interior. Costs a whopping 6,000 euros extra, but then you also have ventilated front seats with massage function. We can’t resist the temptation and go for the lightest version. The interior is also less black.

Polestar 3. Option packs

The pilot and plus packs are already included in the price. The first includes things like lane guidance, adaptive cruise control and a head-up display. The second includes the Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a sound-insulating infrared windscreen, heated seats, steering wheel and wipers, cabin air purification, the use of sustainable materials and a range of comfort aspects.

One option is the Performance package, but we didn’t choose it. Another option is the package with driving systems operated by LiDAR, which can only be ordered from Q2 2023. So we’re almost done here.

We can choose individual options from an electrically retractable towbar (1,400 euros), megapixel HD LED headlights (1,900 euros) and the removal of the extra tinted rear window (at no extra charge). We choose only these headlights.

Extras and accessories Polestar 3

The final step is the extras and accessories. For example, a set of winter wheels for 3,160 euros. In fact, it is a complete set with 20″ alloy wheels, not available with summer tyres. In this respect an exclusive set. Accessories for the bikes: snow chains and socks for 400 and 120 euros respectively.

There are also extra charging cables (340 to 550 euros), roof racks (300 euros), a sun visor for the panoramic roof (160 euros), floor and luggage mats (150 to 200 euros) and an ISOFIX bracket for the front passenger seat (200 euros). ). We only select the parasol.

Assemble Polestar 3 yourself

Our Polestar 3 now costs 99,260 euros. That’s a small swallow, but for a similarly equipped Volvo or German competitor, of course, you quickly lose the same amount. As mentioned, the car is not expected to be delivered until the fourth quarter of 2023. Until then, you already pay 1,000 euros for the reservation of the production site.
