That’s why every Mercedes has an ejector seat function
The Germans don’t joke, it said in the Opel Karl advertising in 2016. At Mercedes we think about it completely differently. Autovisie finds a fun feature in the new EQB: the ejection seat.
The new generation of the MBUX system, Mercedes’ infotainment system, can do a lot via voice control. You can use your voice to set the navigation system, open the windows or regulate the temperature in the car. But much more is possible.
Mercedes-Benz ejection seat
We already knew that Mercedes’ infotainment system could crack jokes. However, we came across the ejection seat function by chance. When you activate voice control and say: “Hey Mercedes, activate ejection seat”. Then the voice assistant actually starts the countdown. After two seconds, the car will show you that it is a prank.
MBUX
The EBQ is not the only car from the brand that has this ejector seat joke on board. It’s part of the MBUX system that you’ll find in every new Mercedes, whether you drive an S-Class or an A-Class. In the video below, Autovisie editor Remco Slump tells you everything about the infotainment system in the new E-Class.
