Dive into the price list: how much does our dream Toyota Corolla Cross cost?

The Toyota family has now been expanded to include the Corolla Cross. What does it have to offer and how does it fit into the Toyota range? We can find out by looking at the price list.

Anyone looking for a Toyota SUV now has even more choices. The Toyota Corolla Cross has finally made the crossing to Europe. “Finally”, because the model was launched worldwide in 2020. Before the model came to Europe, Toyota tackled the car on the necessary points, resulting in a number of improvements. That’s why the European introduction took so long.

The Toyota Corolla Cross occupies a position between the C-HR and the RAV4, but is mostly on par with it. Above all, the new model is a more practical and modest alternative to the C-HR. After we were able to drive the car at the beginning of the month, we have now also familiarized ourselves with the price list in detail.

Prices Toyota Corolla Cross

The Toyota Corolla Cross costs at least 37,995 euros in the Netherlands. This also puts it between the C-HR (from 31,995 euros) and the RAV4 (from 39,995 euros). You can choose between the regular equipment lines Active and Dynamic, temporarily supplemented by the First Edition and Launch Edition. The entry-level prices are 40,495 euros, 41,995 euros and 44,995 euros.

Powertrain Toyota Corolla Cross

Choosing the engine is easy: you always get the 2.0 High Power Hybrid (in the Netherlands) with an output of 145 kW (197 hp) and a torque of 206 Nm. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 7.6 seconds, the average consumption is between 3.9 and 4.1 l/100 km (WLTP) depending on the version.

Equipment Toyota Corolla Cross

Standard features of the Toyota Corolla Cross include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights and headlights and LED taillights, cloth upholstery, a leather steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, the necessary USB ports and a 10.5-bit Inch touchscreen to control infotainment with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and navigation. Also standard is the extensive safety package Toyota Safety Sense 3.

For the Active, this offering is expanded to include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and slightly different front and rear light assemblies, tinted rear windows, roof rails and keyless entry.

The First Edition completes that with partial leatherette upholstery, a power tailgate, heated front seats, cabin air purification, a wireless phone charger and some additional assistance systems. Finally, the Launch Edition rounds out the offering with power front seats, heated steering wheel, a JBL audio system and a semi-autonomous parking system.

Exterior trim Toyota Corolla Cross

We choose the Dynamic version for our configuration. Regardless of the version, the Toyota Corolla Cross comes standard in white. For an additional charge of 350 euros, it becomes dark grey. A metallic color costs 895 euros, optionally in the colors dark grey, light grey, black and dark blue. At the top level are the mother-of-pearl paints for 1,250 euros, optionally in white and dark red. We choose dark blue.

The standard 18-inch wheels for this version look nice, but we still opt for one of the optional wheels. For 1,647 euros you still get 17-inch alloy wheels, with a slightly more aerodynamic design. The same rims are painted black on the 1.701. 17-inch alloy polished costs 1,825 euros and for 1,839 euros there is a choice of another 18-inch alloy.

It’s also much cheaper: for a 781 surcharge you can choose ordinary 17-inch steel rims. Apart from winter sets, you don’t see that very often anymore. By the way: Almost all rims can be ordered with winter tires from 1,425 euros. The steel rims actually look pretty cool under the Toyota Corolla Cross, but we’re going for the polished 17-inch alloy rim anyway.

Interior decoration Toyota Corolla Cross

When it comes to the upholstery, there is little choice: apart from the standard anthracite fabric, there is no other choice.

Lots of options Toyota Corolla Cross

However, we can decorate the interior with aluminum door sills, optionally with the lettering “Corolla Cross” or “Hybrid”. There is also an aluminum frame for the lower edge of the luggage compartment. The frames cost 118 to 166 euros per set. Depending on the velor thickness, luxury floor mats cost 90 or 109 euros. Other options for the luggage compartment are things like partition nets, protective mats, storage compartments, a cool box and even a dog guard for prices from 69 to 420 euros. We stick to the Corolla Cross door sills from 166 euros.

Door sill guards are also available for the exterior and are available in all body colors. Regardless of the body color of the car, a blue Corolla Cross can easily be fitted with red, white, grey, etc. rocker panels. We just go for the same blue. We leave running boards at 1,145 euros, as do the chrome strips from 172 to 392 euros each.

Finally, the list of options includes all sorts of accessories, from roof racks (155 to 435 euros) and roof boxes (386 to 631 euros) to a bike rack (161 euros), protective films for the body (70 to 371 euros), windscreens for the side windows (184 to 359 euros). euros) and such practical things more. We don’t tick anything.

Assemble your own Toyota Corolla Cross

We end up with a configuration that costs 44,073 euros. Would you like to put together the Toyota Corolla Cross yourself? This is easy to do in the configurator on www.toyota.nl. There you will also find the complete price and equipment overview.
