These are the Volvo EX40 and EC40 with “streamlined” names

Even model names apparently have to think about their Cd value in this electric age, as Volvo says it has streamlined the model names of the XC40 and C40 Recharge.
What does that mean? As of this update they are called Volvo EX40 and EC40. That means they fit into the list: EX30 and EX90.
The Volvo XC40 still exists
The XC40 designation remains for models with combustion engines (there are no fuel variants for the C40).

The plug-in hybrid versions will lose their Recharge badge and will soon only have T6 or T8 on the back.
Volvo EX40 / EC40 performance
Volvo is introducing a new performance package for the electric EX40 and EC40 Twin Motor models, increasing their output to 442 hp. Normally that is 408 hp.
The software upgrade can be ordered and downloaded via the Volvo Cars app and is also available to buyers of a 2024 XC40 or C40 Recharge.
Three versions EX40 and EC40
There are three versions of the EX40 and EC40, with the first two being rear-wheel drive.
The entry-level model has 238 hp and a range of up to 478 hp.

Above that is the extended range with 252 hp and more than 583 kilometers.
In extreme cases, the all-wheel drive twin motor has a range of 540 kilometers.
