Do you have too much money but not enough taste? Then this Dartz is for you

Hey! Let’s call the monstrous SUV by its full name: Dartz Prombron The Dictactor Aladeen Edition MMXXII. That sounds like an ode to Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, but thankfully it’s something much more innocent.

British actor Sacha Baron Cohen likes kicking in the shin. He did so in Borat, Brüno and in The Dictactor, a 2012 satirical comedy that poke fun at dictatorial regimes. The film was not well received, but had moderate success in theaters.

In The Dictator, Admiral General Aladeen, played by Baron Cohen, drives a gold-colored Dartz Prombon. And since the film is ten years old, Dartz is building ten special editions of The Dictator.

Ten special editions based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS

The Latvian manufacturer has reportedly previously produced seven replicas of the movie cars, the last of which was auctioned off last year. They were based on the Hummer H2. This new special version is a Mercedes-Maybach GLS under the skin.

That means the Prombron The Dictactor Aladeen Edition MMXXII has a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 that’s been teased by Dartz to produce 801 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. That has to be, because the most expensive Prombron weighs more than 3000 kilos.

You can buy full armor for 250,000 euros

You can order it for 750,000 euros, then you get the “normal” version, which weighs about 2.2 tons. If you pay 250,000 euros more, you buy the fully armored version, which is resistant to machine gun fire and (optionally) grenades and mines.

If you’re really at a loss as to what to do with your money then Dartz has another compelling option for you. For probably a few tons you can have the Prombron’s carriage fitted with a layer of gold leaf. This is something different than a foil around it.
