Car enthusiasts and companies sometimes build cars or showrooms out of LEGO. That always involves a lot of work. This block Volvo goes a step further than the buildings we often see.
A common nickname for Volvo is “brick.” This V70 is from LEGObrick built.
A Volvo V70 from LEGO
The Volvo was built by David Gustafsson, a Swedish LEGO artist. The V70 is built full size.

The basis of the project is a metal frame with wheels. This allows the Volvo to roll properly, unlike many other bodies. Everything except the frame and wheels is made from LEGO.
You can clearly see how detailed the LEGO Volvo V70 is in the interior. The entire dashboard has been recreated and all buttons for air conditioning and infotainment controls are in the right place. Even the chairs are made from the building blocks.
The LEGO Volvo isn’t quite finished yet. There are currently more than 350,000 building blocks in use. Gustafsson previously made a structure using 400,000 bricks.
Where to see?
The Volvo was recently exhibited at a trade fair in Gothenburg. Are you by any chance in Sweden and would like to see the LEGO Volvo? You can see the structure at the locations listed below.
