Green accents on this Porsche 911 GT3 RS retail for $314,000

Next year the Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS will celebrate its 50th birthday. A gift to the fans, but given the price especially to Porsche itself, is this 911 GT3 RS with Tribute to Carrera RS package.

Shall we introduce the 911 Carrera 2.7 RS? Come on, then short. One of the most iconic Porsches of all time began as a racing homologation special. It coupled a more powerful six-cylinder boxer engine with a lower weight, laying a solid foundation for the current 911 GT3 and GT3 RS, which follow a similar recipe.

The 911 GT3 RS Tribute costs almost $100,000 more

It is therefore only logical that Porsche is rolling out its Tribute to Carrera RS package to the latest generation of the 911 GT3 RS. Also, because buyers of this uber-911 probably won’t blink at the package’s sky-high price. In the USA you pay around 225,000 dollars for a “normal” 911 GT3 RS. You can only take this tribute version with you if you can raise $314,000 (!).

Unfortunately only for the USA, not for Europe

Why are we pricing in dollars? Because the tribute is not coming to Europe. According to Porsche, the edition of the special package is limited, but the brand does not say how limited it is. The 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS is white with accents of Python Green, a color that adds more than a wink to the Carrera 2.7 RS’s Viper Green.

Weissach package of $33,520 is included ‘for free’

What else do you get for almost 100,000 euros more? Alloy wheels in Python Green, brake calipers painted black, the “PORSCHE” lettering on the underside of the rear wing and wing endplates with RS on it. Incidentally, the upcharge for the Tribute is less shocking than it seems, as it includes the $33,520 Weissach package with all sorts of carbon fiber goodies.

Also a Porsche Design watch and a scale model

When you open the door of the 911 GT3 RS, you are now greeted by an illuminated door sill with Tribute to Carrera RS on it. You’ll also see an abundance of green stitching and a couple of RS letters on the dash. You will also receive a Porsche Design watch, a scale model of your 911 GT3 RS and you can take part in a special NFT program where you can win digital badges by participating in Porsche events.
