Ferrari’s record profit: 1.2 billion euros

Italian sports car maker Ferrari posted a net profit of more than 1 billion euros for the first time last year, helped by higher sales of the expensive Purosangue, 296 GTB and SF90 models. The net profit of the famous luxury brand from Maranello rose by 34 percent to more than 1.2 billion euros.

Sales rose by 17 percent to 6 billion euros. Ferrari delivered a total of 13,663 sports cars worldwide last year, an increase of 442 cars compared to the previous year. Ferrari also increased its sales prices. More cars were delivered, especially in North America. Deliveries rose slightly in Europe and the Middle East. However, there was a decline in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Electric sports car

CEO Benedetto Vigna speaks of a very successful year and is confident about 2024 thanks to the company’s strong order backlog. Ferrari plans to present its first fully electric sports car in the last quarter of next year.

The figures were well received by investors on the Milan stock exchange, as Ferrari shares rose by around 5 percent after the announcement.

The profit per car

If you divide Ferrari’s profit by the number of cars sold, you get a net profit of 87,828 euros per car. This is actually just a little more than Lamborghini.
