Tesla will soon bring a new (cheap) electric car onto the market

Tesla is one of the largest manufacturers of electric cars in the world, but the brand does not have many models. In the Netherlands you can only order the 3, Y, S and X models, the Cybertruck is not yet available. According to the Reuters news agency, another model will be added to the line-up within a year.

The code name of the car being worked on is: “Redwood”. According to the insiders who spoke to the news outlet, it is a crossover.

Cheap electric car from Tesla

According to the sources, Tesla’s new electric car will go into production in June 2025. Weekly production volume is estimated at 10,000 cars.

It is unclear whether this is the affordable Tesla, which may be called Model 2. It would be logical if Elon Musk also wanted to create a cheaper(er) electric vehicle with his brand. After all, Volkswagen is coming with the ID.2, Citroen with the ë-C3, Renault with the 5 and the Twingo and BYD already with the Dolphin.
