Dive into the price list: This is how much the new Mini Countryman costs

Not only was the Mini Cooper completely renewed, but also its big brother, the Mini Countryman. We familiarize ourselves with the price list and put it together according to your wishes.

Mini is busy in the new year. Not only is a new model generation appearing for the Mini hatchback models (from now on always: Mini Cooper), the Mini Countryman also presents itself in a completely new look. If possible, the car has become a little larger, but otherwise it is as “mini” as an SUV can be. You can read about what’s new here, and now we’ll put one together for you according to your wishes.

Prices and versions Mini Countryman

Ultimately, the Mini Countryman will be available with a fully electric drive for the first time, but there are currently only petrol engines in the price list. A 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 125 kW (170 hp) and 280 Nm is installed as standard and accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. When it comes to versions, you can choose between Essential, Classic, Favorite and John Cooper Works. Please note: The latter is merely a visual decoration package. Prices start at 45,990 euros for the Essential and rise in similar increments to 55,658 euros for the John Cooper Works.

But wait, there’s more! In contrast to the Mini Cooper, the Mini Countryman also has a genuine John Cooper Works version in the price list. The full name is Mini JCW Countryman ALL4 John Cooper Works. So yes, there is actually “John Cooper Works” in the name twice. This JCW costs 76,990 euros, a large part of which goes directly to the Dutch treasury. But you get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 221 kW (300 hp) and 400 Nm, which accelerates the Countryman to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. A seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are also included.

Standard equipment Mini Countryman JCW

It’s probably the last time we’ll get a new Mini Countryman JCW with a petrol engine, so despite the high price it will be the model we choose today. As standard you get 19-inch alloy wheels, a sports brake system with red brake calipers, full LED lighting, Comfort Access (keyless entry), heated sports seats, a sports steering wheel, a head-up display, the round OLED screen (24 cm in diameter ) to operate, among other things, the infotainment and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Outdoor decoration

For the Mini Countryman JCW you can choose from just four body colors: white, two shades of gray and black. We would have liked a little more color, at least British Racing Green. There is no additional cost for any of the “colors” which makes a difference. You also have the choice between roof and mirror covers (also at no extra charge) in red, black or the roof in the vehicle color, although not everything can be combined with every vehicle color. Within this somewhat limited selection, we choose Melting Silver with a black roof and black mirrors. For 250 euros you can have black or red bonnet stripes applied. Then it will be a little clearer that it is a JCW.

You can still swap the standard black 19-inch JCW wheels for 20-inch wheels in a two-tone polished finish, optionally with “sports tires.” That costs 700 or 1,000 euros extra. We’ll stick with the standard wheels.

Interior decoration

We’re quick to finish here: Black JCW upholstery with gray stitching and red accents is the only option. No problem, it looks good.

Option packages

Also because the Mini Countryman JCW is already richly equipped as standard, the options list is short. There are only two packages: Package L and Package XL, for 5,000 and 8,600 euros respectively. Package L also includes Driving Assistant Plus, specially tinted rear windows, a panoramic roof, navigation with augmented reality and additional parking assistants. Package XL includes a JCW Performance braking system, a massage function for the driver’s seat, Driving Assistant Professional, an interior camera, Personal eSIM. Please note that you need the 20 inch wheels for the performance braking system. So if you haven’t selected these yet, the additional costs will be higher. We do not review either package.

Assemble the Mini Countryman yourself

This means that the price of our Mini JCW Countryman ALL4 John Cooper Works remains “limited” to 77,240 euros. How would you assemble the Mini Countryman? Or would you still choose one of the regular versions? Or would you rather wait until the electric version is available? View all options in the configurator at www.mini.nl.
