Motorsport calendar 2024: Enthusiasts should visit these races near them

The motorsport calendar that we present to you here is slightly different than in other years. In 2024, the focus will not be on TV but on going out. As an enthusiast you have to attend these races this year.
There are lots of great races to attend in 2024. We select the most beautiful ones for the enthusiast.
Motorsport calendar: the 2024 races
Spa Francorchamps
For Frisians and Groningers it’s a long drive, for Brabanders and Limburgers Spa-Francorchamps is often closer than Zandvoort or Assen. Wherever you live, the Ardennes racing calendar is the envy of most racetracks. Formula 1, WEC, various GT3 (endurance) races: they’re all there.

The TT Circuit is not only our super test home base, but of course also primarily a motorcycle track where the TT and the Superbike World Championship are loyal guests. For “us” car enthusiasts, the weekend of August 2nd to 4th is circled in red on the agenda when Jack’s Racing Day takes place. And from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. the Tabac Classic GP is an event that is definitely worth a visit.

Nurburgring
Outside the winter months, there is always something interesting to see or do at (and around) the Nürburgring for car (sports) enthusiasts. But in our opinion it is these events that make a trip to the Eifel most worthwhile:

Venray
Many Dutch people probably don’t even know that “we” have a beautiful motorsport facility in Venray in North Limburg, in the form of Raceway Venray or “Europe’s fastest 1/2 mile oval”. The biggest event of the year will take place there from June 29th to 30th, when the Nascar Whelen Euro Series will hit the asphalt with large V8 engines. If these dates don’t work out, you have another chance on October 12th and 13th at the Circuit Zolder in Belgium, where mainly recreational sports and cycling events will take place for the rest of the year.

Zandvoort
Anyone who says motorsport “in the area” seems to say “Zandvoort”. However, apart from the Formula 1 Grand Prix on August 25th and a lot of recreational sports, there is hardly any really interesting data about it. From June 7th to 9th the DTM GT3 cars will be guests and from June 21st to 23rd the Historic Grand Prix is, in our opinion, a good reason to travel to the dunes again.
