The Turkish car brand Togg is once again presenting itself at the largest electronics trade fair in the world, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. And that is quite surprising, because the manufacturer has no plans to come to America for the time being. Autovisie talks to CEO Gürcan Karakas at CES about when the brand will really come to the Netherlands.
Togg will come to the Netherlands at the end of 2024, we read on all sorts of news sites. “Who says that?” laughs Gürcan Karakas.
The Turkish brand Togg in the Netherlands
“No, seriously… We initially planned to choose the typical electric car countries after Turkey: Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands. “But in the last two years, developments in the largest European countries, for example in the area of infrastructure, have progressed so quickly that we have changed our plans,” said the CEO of Togg.
“We will start in Germany at the end of this year, then we want to go to France. Our debut in the Netherlands depends on success there. I can’t give you a year. “I’m sorry,” Karakas says. So it remains to be seen when we will see the first Togg in the Netherlands.
