This new Abarth is the most powerful ever

As a car lover, you know the Abarth brand. Sporty versions of Fiats have been produced for some time. There is now also an electric Abarth 500e. The small hatchback now has an EV brother: the 600e. And this is the most powerful Abarth of all time.

With the 500e, the brand has proven that Fiat can build a good-driving electric car. The electric Abarth goes a step further for enthusiasts, as our road test showed.

The Abarth 600e is the most powerful

It remains to be seen whether the Abarth 600e is also a sporty electric car that is fun to drive. In any case, it is the most powerful Abarth yet.

The Abarth 600e produces 240 hp (176 kW). This power is thanks to two electric motors. One on the front and one on the rear axle.

“New” platform

The Abarth 600e’s platform differs from the usual eCMP platform of, for example, the Fiat 600e and the Jeep Avenger. This is a so-called Perfo-eCMP. This of course stands for “Performance eCMP”. The architecture was created by Stellantis’ motorsports department.

This new platform is expected to also be used for the Alfa Romeo Milano. In an interview, Alfa boss Jean-Philippe Imparato accidentally revealed that there would be an all-wheel drive version. The Milano will be available at dealers in September 2024.

Back to the Abarth 600e. It’s clear this is more than a faster, cooler Fiat 600e. According to the brand, the chassis has also been optimized and the brakes improved. Sporty seats were placed in the interior. In terms of design, the spoiler at the rear is particularly noticeable. Further information about the EV will follow.
